The fabric is an easy to clean, waterproof and durable fabric

with double stitching and has separate compartments on the

The three interior sections are created for many different needs.

 

The section you have closest to your body 

is made to hold hot/cold insulated food and 

contains six mesh pockets to hold bottles,

enclosed cups, food or drink or any other 

container to carry food that needs to be insulated. 

 Great to take along a lunch or keep babies bottles

fresh when you are not near a fridge. 

 This section has a zipper enclosure.

 

The Middle section is perfect to slide in your

laptop and is padded to keep it safe. If you 

don't have a laptop to store there its also a great 

spot for small receiving blankets, an extra set of

clothing or just additional space for babies items. 

The front pocket is perfect to store your purse belongings. Three large pockets work well to

hold your wallet, diapers, baby toys, cell phones

and any other personal items you might want. 

I love the messenger style of the bag, the colors and fabric that create this great carrier. 

The adjustable shoulder strap is the perfect

thickness and comes with a soft padded 

shoulder pad for comfort.

The only additions I would have loved added would be more than one

small exterior pocket. Maybe one on each side of the bag and at least 

one zippered pocket on the inside to hold change, chapstick..and a few of 

the little things you don't want lost rolling around the bottom of the bag. 

I love the cute handmade zipper pull that 

gives it that extra bit of fun & style

and the fun flower print on the traps. 

 

Its modern, fun, functional and one other moms are going

to see and also love! Great gender neutral colors so it

won't matter if you have a baby boy or girl. Great to give

as a gift or spoil yourself with.

Cantaloupe Recall - many deaths already :(

Jensen Farms Recall

Jensen Farms voluntarily recalled its whole cantaloupes on Sept. 14 in response to the multi-state outbreak of listeriosis. Cantaloupes from other farms have not been linked to this outbreak.

The recalled cantaloupes were shipped from July 29 through September 10, 2011 to the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wyoming. There is no indication of foreign distribution at this time.
For more information on the epidemiologic investigation, please refer to CDC’s Investigation on the Multi-State Listeriosis Outbreak.

**Some symptoms don't show up til a month after. A person with listeriosis usually has fever and muscle aches. Persons who think they might have become ill should consult their doctor.

SOUND+SLEEP Review & Giveaway

White noise machines have always been popular and a favorite

of many to help them or their little ones sleep through the night. I 

remember my aunt purchasing one years ago for my cousin and

was amazed at the way it helped him sleep so now that I have a

little one who fights the zzzz's I decided it was time to look into a 

sound or white noise machine to see if we could help him out

and help mom out too! Six hours of sleep in three days is so 

not my idea of fun and can bring out the not so happy momma

when the kids decide to fight and whine over everything. 

I needed my sleep and so did he. I started searching the web

and I was so excited when I came across this Ultimate Sleep

sound Therapy system! I wanted something soothing and relaxing

for a steady noise to help him rest well as well as something

to help drown out background noises that might be waking him

up. Noise such as moms loud breathing or dads random snores

or maybe the neighbors who choose to move things in randomly

in the middle of the night. Whatever the reason may be each 

night, I was hoping to find a machine that would do the job and

not just be annoying.

SOUND+SLEEP uses the latest audio software and technology

to make the sounds carry well and stay clear at all volumes. Ten 

different sound stories of natural and relaxing sounds fill the air

from sounds such as ocean waves, a white noise static, rainfall, 

crackling fire or even the city. One mode they offer is unlike all

the other white noise machines out there that I am aware of. 

This mode can help mask the sounds as it responds to your 

surroundings and automatically adjusts the volume of sound levels.

As we sat and listened to it the first night we were amazed how well

it actually picks up on those background noises that may tend to keep

us and the baby awake or wake us up from our restful sleep. It went

louder when the train went by (only about a block away from our house)

and when the neighborhood dog was barking. It adjusted to my son in

the other room when he coughed and to the cars that drove by. Any little

noise made a huge difference with it, it for sure makes sure to keep its

levels just right, to help you sleep just right! Its amazing the way it minimizes

disruptions that would normally interrupt your sleep and then returns to 

its low calming level it started with. Very cool! If you are one who

can not stand ANY little light, no need to worry you can turn them off!

We have been using it for a week now. Not sure if its a coincidence or

not but I went from my baby not sleeping steady and waking up every

half hour to every two hours unless I was holding him and myself awake.

It was draining me physically and emotionally. Once we started using the

Sleep system he has slept so much better.. and not just a little better...

the first night it didn't seem like it helped but it did help my husband 

sleep through his fussiness a little easier. Night two the baby slept 4 hours

straight was up to eat and went right back to sleep for 2 more hours before

I was up for the day. Night three he slept for 4 hours straight again. It

was heaven! I was so excited. Night four.. he did it again! Yay! Night

five he slept another hour longer..5 hours straight! The sixth night we

forgot to turn it on.. it made a difference. He was up after 3 hours and

 again an hour later and again. I noticed we didn't have it on but didn't

get up and turn it on. The seventh night I made sure it was on. He slept

for 7 hours!!! Wow..how I needed that. Thank you SOUND+SLEEP!

Not only does my baby seem to love it, but it has been great for

all of us. I know its helped my husband sleep better as well. He is

a VERY light sleeper and can hear the kids walk across the floor

and even if they are super quiet. He wakes up to water dripping in 

the bathroom or someone walking around outside. Where there are

times this might not be a bad thing, it for sure makes it hard for him

to reach those sleep stages he needs to be in to get a restful sleep. 

He gets up early for work and I feel so bad when I know he's been 

woken up multiple times in the night due to dumb distractions. So 

I am also thankful its been a help for him. We are going to need to

purchase another for our room once the baby is in the nursery for good. 

Doctor recommended to help you relax and replenish your sleep. 

And I can see why. There is so much great information on their

site about how and why these SLEEP+SOUND therapy systems

can help you and your family. I wish I could afford one for each of

my childrens rooms!

PÜR-Gum Action Candy Company Review and Giveaway

 We love gum in our house, just ask my kids. 

I have stash in my car door compartment and we are

always chewing gum on the go! We go through so much

gum and the kids know I have some so they are always

begging for it. I have no one kind I buy, it varies due to 

my mood of flavors that sound good, softness,or a good 

sale I get on them when really I should be paying more 

attention to what is actually in them..I have no clue.

I do know as much as we chew gum lately I should know

share my opinion on them with my readers.

Is that scary or what!

My kids and I love the taste and flavor of PÜR-Gum

and have enjoyed it. It does tend to loose its softness

feel quick, but not so bad it kills your jaw after a while

like some do. The flavor lasts a long time and is strong

still at the end. We love that it is better for you and

tastes good too. We definitely will be purchasing PÜR-Gum

in the future and are glad we have had the chance to try it out!

Slugs and Bugs Review

For a fun selection of Children's Music there

is a new album coming out October 25th

in Family Christian Bookstores called Slugs & Bugs

This collection is full of fun songs your

young children will enjoy. 

Slugs and Bugs will be familiar to those who have kids

who love Veggie Tales. It was started by two guys from

Nashville, TN. Randall Goodgame and Andrew Peterson who

have written songs for their music and videos and continually

tour all around the country with a live show.

and see clips from his live shows.

My kids got alot of laughs from a few of their songs

like one called "Piggy little toes"

Its a fun country swing type mix talking about a

cute little girl, with a cute little nose,

two bows and 10 little piggy toes, kinda cute.

Another called "Beans" talks about a little boy..

"you got to eat them beans..boy"

and my son thought it was hillarious..they also

laughed and laughed over "Chicken Wiggle"

a silly song about  why a baby cries and

needing to burp & not spit up. 

Its definitely an unusual silly

collection of songs to get the kids smiling!

Some are catchy and upbeat, others are

slow and calming.

"Beautiful Girl" is a sweet song of a daddy talking about/to 

his baby girl. It was cute because my baby was extremely

fussy when we were listening to the songs and he quieted

right down and listened this song. Once it was over he was fussy

again. He liked the calming feel to it.
